Using the Notes Update screen, you are able to modify a previously entered note or add a new note to the system.


Click the "Add a Note" button if you would like to add a new note; or from the list of notes available, click on the required note and then click the "modify" icon at the right hand side of the screen.


Once you have made the changes you require, or entered the new details, click on the "Update" button at the end of the screen. If you do not wish to update the record, you may cancel this screen by clicking the X in the top right corner of the screen.


Select Children

If this note applies to multiple children, select the required children from the drop down list. Select the date from which you wish this timetable to become effective. When you have finished selecting the required children, click outside the selection box and click Continue to proceed.


Select Topic/ Enter Topic

Select the topic for this note from the drop down list or enter a new topic.



Enter the subject for this note. 


My Eyes Only

If you require that this note be kept confidential, check this option. Only you will be able to see this note.  


Show Parent

If you have subscribed to the Parent Portal and you wish this note to be available for people with access to this child's portal to view online, tick this box. If you want this note to remain confidential to authorised Infocare users only, leave the box unchecked. 


Email notification

If you would like the contacts for this child to be sent an email notification that this note is available on to be viewed on the Parent Portal, check both this box and the "Show Parent" box.

When you have completed entering data for this note, click the Update button.


Attach File

Notes are able to have multiple files attached to them. These files can be word documents, pictures, video clips, sound files, spreadsheets, etc. For example, you may wish to attach a child's portfolio to a note for that child. If you wish to attach a file from your computer to this note, click the attach file button.


Set Reminder

You are able to set "reminders" on each note so that the system will remind you about the note on a particular date. Reminders can be set for multiple users and will be displayed when the user logs on to Infocare or "switches services" to this service on the day for which the reminder has been set.
